Americans were shocked upon hearing the news of a baby who was murdered by an unknown assailant. The baby just turned nine months old, and upon the investigation of the police, they found out that the murder of the infant was an act of revenge. After careful examination of the evidence left in the crime scene, the police pointed out who the possible suspect might be. It turned out that the main suspect for the case was a man who is already detained inside the prison. He confessed his crime, stating that he just wanted to bring terror to the uncle of the baby whom he had quarrels with in the past. He also revealed that he used a contraband cell phone to execute his plan to murder the baby.
The rising numbers of the contraband cell phones inside prison cells is a growing concern for the jail officers. Robert Johnson, a former jail officer in North Carolina, had to leave his job because he was already assaulted by some of the prisoners just because he is doing his duty. He stated that contraband cell phones are being smuggled every day in the local correctional facility he was working with, and upon the orders of his superior, he would keep on confiscating these contraband cell phones and surrendering them to the authorities.
One day, while he was performing his duty, one of the prisoners gave him a threat that if he would not stop confiscating their cell phones, he will be murdered mercilessly. Knowing that the prisoner could not do something while he is behind bars, Robert Johnson felt confident that nothing will happen to him. However, he was much mistaken, as two armed men stormed his house shooting him six times. He was left bleeding on the floor. Luckily, his wife is alert, and she immediately took him to the hospital. The doctors managed to remove the bullets inside his body, and they consider his survival as a miracle. After careful investigations on the crime committed against him, it was found out that the same person inside the prison who gave him the death threat is the one behind his assassination. It was also orchestrated through the use of contraband cell phones.
Robert Johnson left the correctional facility to protect his family and chose to become a consultant for Securus Technologies instead. The newest device released by Securus Technologies, called the wireless containment system, is his idea. He wanted a device that would render all contraband cell phones inside the correctional facility useless, and with the technology developed by Securus Technologies, he is hoping that no other private citizen would experience the horror that he went through. So far, the wireless containment system has shown its effectivity, as less contraband cell phones are being smuggled inside the prison.
